Runge-Kutta discontinuous Galerkin method in solving compressible two-medium flow
Last modified: 2016-05-25
Abstract
In this paper, the Runge-Kutta discontinuous Galerkin method is used in solving compressible two-medium flow. The material interface is explicitly tracked by the front tracking method and the interface boundary conditions are defined via the real ghost fluid method. Several numerical examples are presented to show the accuracy and capacity of this method. It is found that the mass errors are smaller compared to the results obtained by the same order accurate finite difference method.
