The method of personalized lumped parameter model of coronary artery

Abstract


Lumped parameter model is a 0 dimensionality model which uses circuit to simulate the cardiovascular circulatory system based on the similarity of circuit and blood vessel. In this study, a software which can personalize the lumped parameter model of coronary artery has been developed. In the software, the parameters of cardiovascular system were determined by different physiological indicators. The heart module was determined by systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and heart rate; the systemic circulation module was determined by cardiac output and Cardio-ankle vascular index (CAVI); the coronary module, which is most important, was determined by the target waveforms of coronary flow rate. Based on the physiological indicators, genetic algorithm was used to optimized the parameters of each module. The results after optimization proved that it is able to simulate the lumped parameter model of coronary artery that can be applied to each patient.
