Abstract

This paper investigates the flow of a nano fluid past a stretchingpermeable sheet under the influence of transverse magnetic field. The space and temperature dependent heat source/sink effect isconsidered. The governing partial differential equations aretransformed into ordinary differential equations with the helpsuitable similarity transformation. The transformed ordinarydifferential equations are solved using Spectral Relaxation Method. To validate the accuracy of the method, a comparison of Nusselt andSherwood number with the data of previous work is presented, whichshows an excellent agreement. The effects of magnetic field, suction, space and temperature dependent heat sourcr/sink, Lewisnumber, thermophoresis and Brownian motion on the flow field, temperature and nanofluid particle concentration are studied withthe help of graphs and tables.
